About the Show 

For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs... who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.


This clever and inventive play “never goes more than a minute without a laugh” (Nerdist) giving you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children. Alongside them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers. Their “hilariously heartfelt!” (Metro) and epic journey takes the classic story to new places and reimagines what a boy wizard hero can be.

Tickets to YouTheatre shows are $15. Seating is general admission. Performances will be held at Cardinal Newman School (2945 Alpine Rd, Columbia, SC 29223)

Safety Procedures

In accordance with the latest masking guidelines from the CDC, we are lifting our mask requirement for summer camps, rehearsals, and performances. 


If you or your child are more comfortable with mask usage or you are at higher risk of severe consequences from a Covid-19 infection, please continue to mask. Additionally, if your child is exposed to COVID-19, please have them wear a mask for a total of 10 days following the first day of exposure; anyone who is NOT fully vaccinated and who has been directly exposed should be kept home from camp/rehearsal for five days.


If your child is exhibiting symptoms or tests positive for the virus, please keep them home from camp/rehearsal.
