Storybook Adventures!

Grades 5K-3 | $225

Join us for this fun, beginner-friendly class that will explore drama and the art of storytelling through the creation of a short play based on a children’s book. Actors will learn the basics of drama, including the actor’s toolbox, while also transforming a book into a short play that will be performed at the end of the 10-week course.

Ghost Stories

Grades 3-8 | $225

Fall is in the air, and so are the scares and hauntings! Join us for this spooky, scary class, where young actors will learn the art of telling ghost stories, which is a performance art all its own. Based on ancient legends and folklore, ghost stories present a unique storytelling experience for those who love all things spooky and haunted! This course will culminate in a final storytelling performance at the end of the 10 weeks.

Making a Scene

Grades 4-6 | $225

Specially designed for students in the middle grades, “Making a Scene” leads young performers through an exploration of the actor’s toolbox (voice, body, & imagination), with a special focus on imagination! This class will hone these skills for young actors while they devise their own short play to be performed at the end of the 10 week course. This is perfect for all those young performers who also like to make up their own stories and plays!

Theatrical Tap

Grades 3-12 | $100

Theatrical Tap is a 10 week crash course in basic tap designed for school aged students seeking to learn the fundamental techniques of tap to enhance their “castability” and expand their skills for the stage. We will work into more advanced tapping with those who need it. Theatrical Tap is taught by CCT Artistic Associate and master tap teacher Lisa Sendler. The class will include a short showcase of student work on the final day.

**Note: Performers planning to audition for our CCTeen production of The Drowsy Chaperone are encouraged to consider tap. Several lead roles in the show feature tap dancing.

Calling all adventurers! “Dungeons & Drama” is back by popular demand! Characterization, improvisation, cooperative storytelling - these are skills that are invaluable for any actor. Dungeons and Dragons offers a unique opportunity to develop these skills. Join D&D aficionado and Dungeon Master, Toby O’Connor, on a roleplay-heavy quest as players dive into this popular tabletop game in a D&D campaign that will take place over the course of 10 weeks. No experience required!
