Oliver Jr Auditions

What You Need to Know:

Who: actors in grades 1 - 6 (20-21 school year). 
When: Sunday, June 6 at 2:00PM and Monday, June 7 at 6:30PM 
Where: Columbia Children’s Theatre at Richland Mall (3400 Forest Drive) Enter through the stage door. 
Please arrive prior to the start time listed above, as we will audition as a group. The audition process should take approximately 2 hours.

Steps to take: 
  • Fill out the Online Audition Form and Conflict Calendar (pdf file)
  • Review the Production Information Sheet (pdf file)
  • You will be taught a short choreography routine, and a few lines of one of the songs from the show. 
  • You only need to attend one audition session unless you are asked to return for a callback audition. Rehearsals begin June 15. Rehearsals will generally be held Monday through Friday evenings, Saturday times vary, and Sunday afternoons. Performances will be July 23-25, at Spring Valley High School.

Musical theatre’s second favorite orphan (after Annie), Oliver Twist heads the cast of characters of this Jr. version of the 1960 hit musical Oliver! Based on the Charles Dickens novel, 9-year-old orphan Oliver Twist falls in with a group of street-urchin pickpockets led by the Artful Dodger and masterminded by the criminal Fagin. Directed by CCT Artistic Associate Julian Deleon the show features beloved classics like “Where is Love” and “Who Will Buy”, this heart-warming classic is a delight for all ages.
