About the Show

Director: Larry Hembree

The Glass Dog is the World Premiere of a new play for children written specifically for CCT by Irmo, SC native and award-winning New York playwright, Randall David Cook. Based on a L. Frank Baum's (The Wizard of Oz) short story of the same title, this play is a fast-paced and zany romp through a quirky, fantastical, fun and silly world where a glass dog is magically enchanted to life. As with every great fairy tale, there are potions, a wizard, a beautiful young lady, magic spells and, of course, “the most beautiful man in the world.”
