2026 Fall Mainstage Auditions

CCT is happy to announce Mainstage Auditions for our 22nd season’s fall productions! We were founded as a professional Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) that uses paid adult actors to perform for families, young audiences, and school groups. 

We will hold auditions for our Holiday Show Youth/Teen Ensemble and Spring 27’ production at later dates. 

What You Need to Know:

Who: Auditions are open to any adults and teens who will be 15 years old by August 2026. 

Where: Washington St. United Methodist Church (1401 Washington St, Columbia, SC 29201)

When: Sunday, August 2nd, 2026 @3-5pm and Monday, August 3rd @6-8pm 

• Auditions are drop-in style so you may attend at any time during those hours.

**Please plan on being there at least 15 minutes before the end time. 

 

Audition Requirements 

• Please complete this Google Form noting which shows you are interested in/available for. 
• Please prepare 24-32 bars of a Broadway-style song sung a cappella 
• You may also be asked to read sides from each show during the audition 
• If you have a headshot and resume, please bring hard copies to your audition (optional). 

**If you are unable to make an in-person audition, please submit the Google Form and send a video recording of your song selection and a 60-second contemporary comedic monologue to sadie@columbiachildrenstheatre by August 3rd at 8pm.

Rehearsals Begin: Week of October 12, 2026

Show Schedule

• December 2nd-4th @9:15 am & 11am (School Shows) at Harbison Theatre
• December 5th @2pm & 6pm (Public Shows) at Harbison Theatre
• Touring School/Public Shows @ the Colleton County Civic Center TBD 

*Currently casting for our adult cast, Youth/Teen Ensemble Auditions will be held at a later date

REHEARSALS

Rehearsals will generally take place on weekday evenings (anywhere from 6-10pm depending on CCT schedule) and weekend afternoons. There will be no conflicts accepted during Tech Week. 

PERFORMANCE PAY

Actors 18+ are paid a minimum of $30 per show. There is no rehearsal pay. Pay will be distributed via direct deposit following the final performance. All actors will be required to sign a contract to provide their services for rehearsals and performances.
