The Commedia Emperor’s New Clothes

Written & Directed by Jerry Stevenson

Summer is here, and that means the Spaghetti and Meatball Players are back for more shenanigans! Join Columbine, Rosetta, Pantalone, Punchin, and Arlequino as they present the Hans Christian Andersen tale like you’ve never seen before. This original adaptation is performed in the traditional style of commedia dell’arte, a largely improvisational style of street theatre originating in 16th century Italy. With lots of physical comedy, audience interaction, jokes, and surprises, this hilarious “fractured fairy tale” will delight children and adults of all ages!
