Class Voice
Mondays, Sept. 11 – Nov. 13
4:30 – 5:45

CCT Artistic Director and voice teacher Jerry Stevenson will lead this group class which focuses on breath control and support, proper tonal formation and placement, and song interpretation.  The class will culminate with a recital with students from his private voice studio.    Instructor: Jerry Stevenson

Tuition: $200.00 for the 10 week session.
Ages:  Students 9-18

Theatrical Tap
Tuesdays Sept 12 – Nov. 14

We will have 3 separate classes that will each run 35 minutes. During the 1st week of class we will place students in a class based on experience, availability, and age. Theatrical Tap is a 10 week crash course in basic tap designed for school aged students seeking to learn the fundamental techniques of tap to enhance their “castability” and expand their skills for the stage. We will work into more advanced tapping with those who need it. All classes are taught by CCT artistic associate and master tap teacher Lisa Sendler (Legally Blond, Hairspray, Shrek, Anything Goes) each class will include a short showcase of student work on the final day.    Instructor: Lisa Sendler    Assistant: Candice Fuller

“They Fight”
Wednesdays, Sept 13 – Nov. 15

Two words of stage directions that appear in every Shakespearean play except one.  Cathy Brookshire, (member, Society of American Fight Directors, Actors Equity) will lead a class covering the use of unarmed, knife, broadsword, & rapier stage combat based on 3 of Shakespeare’s most famous plays: Romeo and Juliet, Twelfth Night, and The Tragedy of Macbeth. As part of the class, we hope to set up a field trip for students and parents to see USC’s production of Twelfth Night.    Instructor: Cathy Brookshire

Steps & Stages
Thursdays, Sept 7 – Nov. 16 (no class Sept. 21)

Get ready to dance in this 10-week class designed to teach the basics of musical movement for the stage.  Taught by theater dance veteran and family physician Rachel Brown and using music from the most popular Broadway shows, students will learn the basic dance and stage terminology used in musical theater as well as be introduced to the fundamentals of the most common theater dance styles—ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, Latin, swing, and Broadway or performance dance.  Our final class will showcase our students’ new moves in a routine that features each of the ways stage dance can help tell the stories of the stage.  Instructor:  Rachel Brown

Tuition:  $200.00 for the 10 week session.
Ages:  Students ages 7-18

Kidstage Afterschool Theatre Bootcamp
Fridays, Sept. 15 – Nov. 17
4:30– 5:45

KidStage, an intensive theatre “bootcamp” is designed to give aspiring young performers the opportunity to work on a production in a professional training environment. Each session includes training in pantomime, vocal & physical characterization, musical theatre movement, acting and design, addressing the rehearsal and production process from audition through strike and culminates in a live performance at the end of the session.

Tuition:  $200.00 for the 10 week session.
Ages:  Students ages 7-13

Private Voice Instruction

CCT Artistic Director/voice teacher Jerry Stevenson and CCT Artist/voice teacher Courtney Reasoner will offer private voice lessons. Each lesson is 45 minutes long and will focus on breath control and support, proper tonal formation and placement, and song interpretation.  We will have a recital in April.
